Connecting Devices
A ZPlate uses a single BLE connection: all 8 channels, left and right surfaces alike, come from the one device. There is no “connect the second plate” step.
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”- Press the power button to switch the ZPlate on and wait for the heartbeat flash
- Open ZForce and tap the Bluetooth icon at the top left of the Testing screen to open the Device screen
- The app scans and lists nearby ZPlates with their signal strength in dBm
- Tap the plate you want (its name looks like
ZPlate-A3F2) — connection takes 1–3 seconds - The status LED goes solid, the Device screen shows firmware version and battery, and the live force preview becomes available
Telling several plates apart
Section titled “Telling several plates apart”- The four hex digits come from the chip’s unique ID and never change, so you can record them against the serial number (
ZP######) on the chassis - A higher (closer to zero) dBm value means a nearer plate; stand next to the one you want and rescan
- A ZPlate accepts one client at a time — a plate already connected to another phone will not connect
BLE range
Section titled “BLE range”Effective range is ~10 m line-of-sight. Metal gym equipment and bodies reduce this. Keep the tablet within 5 m during testing for reliability.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Tap Disconnect on the Device screen, or simply power off the plate.
