Running a Test
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Plates are connected and live preview shows a stable baseline
- Athlete is off the plate
- Plates have been tared (Settings → Tare)
- Athlete profile is selected
Starting a test
Section titled “Starting a test”- From the Dashboard, select the athlete
- Tap New Test
- Select the protocol (CMJ, SJ, Drop Jump, IMTP, Balance, etc.)
- Set start delay (countdown before capture begins) — default 3 s
- Set test duration — or leave on Auto-stop
- Tap Start
During the countdown, the athlete stands still on the plate. The app uses this quiet standing period to estimate bodyweight.
During capture
Section titled “During capture”The live force chart updates in real time at ~30 fps (decimated from 1000 Hz for display — the full 1000 Hz is always recorded).
- Stop manually at any time by tapping Stop
- Auto-stop triggers when force returns to near-zero after the jump (CMJ / SJ / Drop Jump)
After capture
Section titled “After capture”Results are calculated immediately and displayed:
- Key metrics panel (peak force, jump height, impulse, RSI, etc.)
- Force-time chart for the full session
- Ability to retake or save
Tap Save to store the session. Saved sessions sync to Hootuo Hub automatically.
Retaking a test
Section titled “Retaking a test”Tap Retake to discard the current capture and start again. The athlete should step off the plate and re-tare if more than a few minutes have passed.
