Quick Start

  1. Charge each timing gate and power it on.
  2. Place the gates at the distances your drill requires (e.g. a 10/20/40 m sprint: one at the start, one at each split).
  3. Check each gate’s indicator shows it is ready.
  1. Open the ZGate app on the tablet and sign in.
  2. The app scans for nearby gates and connects to each one.
  3. Assign the gate order for the drill (start → splits → finish).
  1. Pick the athlete and the drill (e.g. “20 m Sprint”).
  2. Get set according to the start mode:
    • Trigger start — the athlete starts from a trigger at the line; reaction time is recorded.
    • Beam start — timing begins when the athlete crosses the first gate (good for flying sprints).
  3. When the athlete finishes, the tablet immediately shows the total time plus per-gate splits and interval velocities.
  4. An invalid run (e.g. rejected false trigger) is flagged and can be repeated.
  • Results file into the athlete’s history automatically after each run.
  • With a connection, everything syncs to Hootuo Hub; offline captures upload when you’re back online.
  • Use the Hub for long-term trends, comparisons, and report export.
